This is particularly easy here, since the ski bus to the Mayrhofen lifts is only 50m away and takes you directly to Mayrhofen. The Ahornbahn - the largest aerial tramway in the country will take you to the smaller of the two local ski areas. The Ahorn is referred to as “Leisure Mountain”, because here there is less hustle and bustle and the wide ski runs are perfect for beginners and families. The 18 kilometers of ski runs include the great 5.5 km long valley run, which takes you back to Mayrhofen.
The Penkenbahn in the center of Mayrhofen will take you to the “Action Mountain”! Once you have reached the top of the mountain, you have the choice of a total of 120 kilometers of slopes – including the infamous “Harakiri”, a black ski run with a gradient of up to 78% - and breathtaking panoramas! Here you will definitely find your own favorite ski run, no matter whether you are a beginner or advanced skier.
The Vans Penken Park offers skiers and snowboarders a prime attraction. Among boarders, the fun park with its different areas, obstacles, and wallrides has long been a top destination, and even for the little ones there is a small kid’s park, where they can learn their first tricks on the board.
